Napa Valley is an ideal starting point for a Northern California road trip. Despite the rumours, its vineyards haven’t all burned to the ground — it’s business as usual in Wine Country. The high season here is August through October, attracting tourists for grape stomping and harvest parties. But there’s really no bad time to visit — the off-season, referred to by locals as ‘Cabernet Season,’ offers mild temperatures and lower prices.
