The Aegean Sea—an arm of the Mediterranean between Greece and Turkey—brings to mind the whitewashed, blue-domed buildings of Santorini or the party scene of Mykonos. While they’re stunners, they’re also jam-packed with tourists. So you might want to consider the road—or, in this case, the sea—less travelled. The best way to explore some of the lesser-known isles of the Aegean is on a small ship that goes where large cruisers can’t go and airplanes don’t fly.
